Members

We are a small organization with very limited resources, but strong determination to move with what we have. We are peasants, under subsistence farmers, wage earners, agriculture laborers, and local activists. As an organisation driven by members of the local communities, we strive to ensure that the concerns and priorities of all of its members are effectively articulated in our plans and programmes. Our selection process of members is based on the values of trust, transparency, partnership and accountability.

The current members of the Executive Board of the Right to Education Foundation are as follows:

The Board, in its executive functions is supported by a team of patrons, who give necessary protection and guidance to the Board in the matter of organization and growth. At present, the team includes Dr. Bipin Adhikari (Chief Patron), Mr. Deependra Adhikari, Mr. BP Adhikari, Ms. Veena Upadhyay, and Mr. Praveen Adhikari.

Two advisors of the Executive Board- Mr. Niraj Dawadi (Human Rights and Social Development) and Sulav Regmi (Communications and External Relations)- are helping the Foundation to achieve its objectives on pro bono basis. The patrons and advisors cannot have any relation of profit with the Foundation, and they do not receive any financial incentive from the Foundation. Similarly, they do not vote in the executive meeting of the Foundation.
